The type of people that gain respect

As we go through our daily routines, we encounter hundreds of people that gain our attention in some way or another, whether it is in a positive or negative way. Maybe it is walking to class, shopping at the grocery, or just at our place of business. But, out of all the people that we see each day who are the faces that stick with us? Who are the names that we remember, and why do we remember these people? I believe the main reason that we remember these certain people is because there is a great deal of respect that these certain people have earned. Which brings me to my main point. Who are the type of people that gain our respect the most?
It is horrible to admit but this is a country where a persons physical appearance means so much to there level of success. If we look at the successful everyday person of America many of them all have various commonalities. Most of them are confident, professionally attired, physically fit, and attractive. To answer my first question, who are the faces that stick with is, I believe that it is without a doubt the people that look most professional. In a world that has so many negative aspects, when we see a person that is confident, and looks professional, that person will automatically stick with us, because after all most Americans envy success.
There are so many ways that a person may gain respect. One may have a college degree from a fancy university, maybe some will have a athletic record that will never be broken, or maybe they are a Science teacher, or a high school coach. Although many of these people will have the same traits as the person that we will remember(earlier paragraphs), what is different about the people that we respect is that these people give other people respect as well. As I think back to the people that made a lasting impression on my life I cannot help but to think of my High school History teacher. This teacher won the prestigious  favorite teacher award roughly 15 years in a row. This teacher made a very boring history class into a class that no one would want to miss. As students we respected this man for his great knowledge, wonderful stories, funny sense of humor, and his love for teaching. But what we loved the most is that he gave us his ut most respect.
I strongly believe that in this world the more respect that you have for your peers, yourself, and just people in general,  it will enhance your ability to be a better, more successful person.
